Gizmo Growing Pains

Lately, I’ve noticed my Gizmo Project client on my Mac appearing to be “live,” but really it has gone off to never-never land. People don’t see me online, I see people online that aren’t, and so on. Calls don’t work. IMs silently fail.

This morning, I see this post by Andy Abramson suggesting that Gizmo Project is going through some growing pains. That may be. They can also fix their client so that it detects things have gone south and not appear in this “live, but not really live” mode. That’s not a growing pain, that’s just a bug.
