Mobile Phones on BART

Now I know I complained about this when I was in Chicago taking the subway, but I still hate it. BART in the San Francisco Bay Area is also a subway, and it also has an utter lack of mobile phone service when underground–at least with Cingular and T-Mobile.

I remember when I was in the UK in 1999. They had the same problem then, though I recall reading somewhere that they’ve generally fixed that issue. It helps all the carriers use one standard–GSM. I wish we could all agree on one here in the US.
