Cell Ranger: Boost Your Bars
While watching the latest Mobile Industry Review show, where I make a cameo, I found out about the Cell Ranger, which is designed to boost your mobile phone signal.
There are two models of this device: one plugs into your laptop and one that plugs into your car charger. This powers the antenna that is able to pull in North American mobile phone signals, making them stronger while preserving the integrity of the carrier’s mobile phone network.
There are a couple of caveats here: the device only re-broadcasts the signal 6 feet from the antenna and it does not work with Sprint/Nextel or any mobile networks outside of North America. However, if it doesn’t deter you, for $149, you can pic up your own from getcellranger.com.
