@Pat I wouldn't do it, but I am more sensitive to potential conflicts of interest than Sarah obviously is. ;)

Honestly, I assume that everyone is getting paid (in some way, shape or form) to write online. It might be cash, it might be in gaining connections, it might be indirectly through a sale consummated as a result of someone "finding me" online.

Now, I try to be transparent when I speak about who I work for or advertisers, but how come we are held to a different standard, than say magazines, newspapers, and analyst firms who write and give awards to those that pay them? I know of tons of companies that do this (yes, even those in the VoIP industry).

Writing about who "pays your bills" or has the potential to, is not new and it is not going to stop. Everyone has a motive for writing. We all get paid in some way. What is wrong with that?

For the first time ever Dameon I totally disagree with you.
I will sum it up in a question
Would you get involved and let yourself be videoed in a test off of mobiles phones between, Nokia,Sony Ericsson and Motorola?
Nokia pay your wages and you couldn't be impartial, its impossible, I presume knowing you that you would disclose and excuse yourself from test?
Well its the exact same thing, this was absolutely nothing personal against Sarah whom I like, it was that Flixwagon pay her a retainer and it wasn't disclosed.
She should have excused herself from this test no matter how it turned out.
Can you imagine me being involved in a test off between MAXroam, United Mobile and Sim4Travel?
its the same principle
My last question is
Where are Flixwagon in all this, not one statement, if everything was so above board why haven't the released a statement naming all the people they are paying, there are 4 more on my list all with significantly higher ratings than Sarah.
How could you genuinely trust their reviews?
