Replacing a Key on a Laptop

Laptop KeyboardOne of the occupational hazard of having children at home–particularly smaller children–is that if they get a hold of a laptop, they can rip keys off it. Both Jaden and Gracie have destroyed at least one key on a laptop keyboard. In both cases, they were beater laptops, but still.

My daughter is currently in the process of destroying a laptop keyboard. I have put keys back on this keyboard several times this past week. Growing frustrated with not knowing exactly how to do it, I brought my search to Google.

Lo and behold, I find a place that shows me how to do this. With reasonable pictures even. Next time I have to do this, which may be soon, I’ll be putting these steps to gooduse.
