I do occasionally run a FON access point in my house, which does have an open, unencrypted SSID. At least there the net access is password protected, but it still gives me pause about putting it back up.</description>

Given that WEP keys can be broken with freely available tools in under five minutes, I guess that will be a pretty unattractive option for most tech savvy households.</description>
