I have seen this service and I like it but how are they even breaking even if they charge nothing? Your blog says they don't charge for the service yet they are breaking even??? Their site says they have 317,000 users. Thats a lot. What is their business model? If they don't charge anything how are they paying to route the calls over the PSTN to the actual cell phones etc... They are being charged something by the phone carriers to carry those calls. If they have no revenue they are losing their shirt. Where is the revenue coming from. Anyone know?

I used them last Feb or so, but the new site (with the new name: NUMBR) is even cooler!

<!--%kramer-pre%-->or not to bootstrap your business. In short, if you can bootstrap it, you don't have to be sidetracked by the demands of raising money or give up equity in your new venture. I happen to know from talking to the folks behind Numbr (more about themhereand here) that they are bootstrapped as well. When that venture can be taken to the next level, which may not be all that far off, it will be much more profitable for the principals. They'll have more control to boot, as well.<!--%kramer-post%-->
