My Son the Shutterbug, Part 2
The other camera I had bought for my son sucked too bad, so today we went back to the Evil Walmart ™ and swapped it for a Vivitar Vivicam 3345. This camera is a tad more expensive, but it’s a 1 megapixel camera, has a flash, and will take SD memory (it does come with 8mb of memory though). I happen to have an 16 meg SD card from an old Nokia Communicator, which means he can take a few more pictures now. And at least this camera will take a picture even if the lighting sucks.
The scary thing is, my son does a fairly decent job of taking pictures — better than some adults, and he’s not even four yet. He does have issues with holding the camera still at times. I think that will get better with time. Here is a smathering of snapshots he’s taken, both with our Canon Powershot S40 and his new camera.
