First Impressions on Nokia E61

Yes, I’ve seen the phone before up-close and personal. Now I have one of my own. Finally.

One thing I noticed about it immediately was the Record button, which I constantly hit on accident, was a bit more recessed, thus making it almost imposible not to hit on accident. Not sure if it’s something they fixed in later production runs or something that occured with prototype units. Either way, it’s a nice surprise.

Phone, of course, worked well. I SMSed a lot today. Did my share of web browsing from the phone. Loaded GMail, Google Maps, Nokia Podcasting, and a beta version of Nokia Intellsync Mobile Suite. Paired up my bluetooth headset. Everything is working as I expect.

I miss not having a camera. Then again, that’s why I carry two phones.
