IAWTC<br />I assume at the end you mean, "Right now it doesn't do that." :)

I think that really, the more they can make it a total "back end" switch to move to Vonage, the more customers they can get. Most people are not excited about Voice Over IP. In fact, most people have no idea what it is, and many people are afraid of or hostile to new technologies that they don't understand. But if it were just essentially like changing to another regular phone provider, then I think they'd get a lot of interest.

One thing that always gets to me is having to use a special directory assistance service. It's a pretty small feature, but when I call directory assistance, I'm used to a certain level of service. However, if I dial 411 on my cell phone, I get Telus' directory assistance service instead of Bell's. The problem is that Telus' directory assistance sucks. I don't think they've ever yet gotten a number right for me, much less the additional things like being able to work from vague descriptions, giving me addresses and so on. When we talk about switching at home or at work for the land lines, that sort of thing is the sort of thing that twigs in the back of your mind -- am I going to get saddled with annoying trade-offs like that?
